Utilizing her signature methodology of hydraulic expansion and inflation, the artist forces sheets of raw steel into bulbous, rounded envelopes that mimic the imposing anatomy of prehistoric fungal caps or subterranean spore pods. The surface is treated with an intense, rich rust patina, giving the metal a tactile, weathered skin that mirrors the organic decay of the earth.
